Back to The Past?

As I was bloghopping, trying to get my mind refreshed for when I edit my Politics Communicated essay, I ran into this interesting post by a person who I have since found interest in (not romantically of course) over the past couple of months.

He's a student at University of Michigan but is currently at the University of Oxford, Magdalene College, pursing a study abroad course.

What makes him interesting is that he looks like your everyday person, with the oversized jackets, neat short haircut and geeky glasses but yet he's philosophy towards life is so optimistic. He's obviously a well educated kid considering he's at Oxford now but in spite being an actuarial science student, he writes with great passion and appreciation for history.

"I wish I could travel time," he said.

He was talking about how he wished he could go back and remind himself that things will be all right, and do not avoid all the bad moments that he had already or in this case about to go through, as it was those dark moments that would soon make him who he is today.

Which comes to my main point: looking at where you are now and who you are today? If given the opportunity to travel back in time, would you change anything that happened or even yourself for the matter?

With the recent A-Levels result being released, I have found myself being an intimidatory for many people, helping them calm down, feel more excited and come up with a list of itineraries.

It represented probably some of the best and worse moments for many of my friends and it just got me thinking, if they would change anything knowing what they know now.

Till then, the state of democracy is calling me back for some editing. Let's hope I inherited some editing skills.

(The Living Legend missed blogging and is admittedly rusty but promises to find more time to do so)
