Appreciation

With natural disasters and political turmoil taking center stage for the past month or so, it has got me thinking a lot regarding the value of life.

How much do we really appreciate what we have? How much do we really show our appreciation for it?

In university, you are told that there is no one answer to any question but to question the question is how you will find one of the many answers. It's not something I have easily adapted to but I have learnt to do so slowly.

Never more so have that been more applicable than it is today. For those who believe, if you do good today, you will be rewarded by going to heaven, for others, if you do good today, you will be reincarnated into a better life. As for me, there is no certainty of what happens regardless of what you do. The only certainty is, what you do today, tomorrow and for the rest of your life, dictates how you will be remembered.

So through the power of social media, I like to urge all bloggers, Twitterers and Facebook members to share with your loved ones (affected or unaffected by such disasters) your appreciation towards them.

(The Living Legend just watched an episode of How I Met Your Mother that made him tear)
