A Couple Weeks To Go

Okay so it is the first of September and this probably means that you are feeling a little pressured as the big day arrives (I'm estimating you guys are leaving slightly past mid of September).

You are probably feeling anxious about whether your visa is going to be approved or not, whether you have not luggage space to bring everything you want there and most importantly, the feeling that there is a lack of time to do everything you ever wanted to do.

Examples of these things are:
  • Walking your dog (believe or not, a dog is indeed a men's best friend)
  • Hanging out with your friends (Shauyin, Mojo Wong, Melvin Lim, Kok Fei and etc)
  • Shopping (With nothing to do and sales beginning, what better things to do then shop)
  • Eating all the Malaysian Cuisines (Char Kuay Teow, Bak Kut Teh, Chicken Rice, Pan Mee)
  • Driving (Oh god if there's one thing I miss more than sleep, is driving)
  • Movies (Unfortunately, $10 overseas will probably get you 80% of one movie ticket)
  • Mamak (Mamak is not part of the Malaysian Cuisine simply because it has become more than that, it is a cultural activity)
  • Mentally preparing yourself (As much as you say you are ready, truth be told, you are not! No one ever is, all you can do is hope for the best and if not, have a beer)
So yeah, those are only few of the things that you probably want or rather need to do before you leave. Su Ling will probably be the only exception for the "mamak" list, considering she only ate banana leaf rice for the first time JUST LAST WEEK!

My advise is plan your weeks in advanced and don't wait to the very last minute to plan. Every hour you have left is precious and as much as you would like to see everybody before you leave, spend the time you have remaining with the people you love the most (Yes, come to Melbourne and find me).
