Wings To Fly

This past year has been really a growing up session for me, to be independent has not always been my thing as I've always been a mama's boy. Depending on my parents to take care of me and the thought of being in another country away from my family used to scare me but this year, the year 2009, I've learnt to be independent.

I am proud to say I chauffer myself around, I studied without being forced to, I did research on my own and depended less on my parents. In addition to that, my parents has played a big role to in that by not "spoon feeding" me too much or as much as they used to.

For example:

Me:"Pa I got an assignment to do on marketing, do you know what are the 4ps?"
Dad: "Yes, but i'm not going to tell you, find it yourself"
Dad: "It would be easy for me to help you in all these but will you learn anything?"
Anyway as most of you know, Mr. Kenneth Lau is back for a few days, after finding out his dad was hospitalized but thankfully he is out and healthy now.

Look at this, Wui Yang & Kenneth, both wearing the same shirt, both buff & both overseas educated.
Anyway about a week ago, Ken asked me if I would like to join him at Melbourne end of this year not for life but for a week or so, just for a short holiday. To be honest I was quite sceptical about it not because I didn't trust him but what would my parents say? It's not like were talking Genting Highlands here but a country away?
When I was form 3 and wanted to stay at my friends house which I should mention is just 500meters away from mine, my dad would be like I think it's best if you don't. But to my surprise when I brought it up to my parents, they were like go la Air Asia having a promotion.
WOW right? and they have been very supportive even helping me find the best prices and all. The strange thing is, they have not even met Kenneth before but yet they allow me to go. So lets hope everything goes well and my semester 2 does not clash with my flight as Melbourne here I come!=)
(The Living Legend is sick of waiting for his results which never seems to come)
