China Day 3: Great Wall of China and Ski Resort

Of course when you visit Beijing, the one place you MUST visit is the Great (Good) Wall of China. In spite of my perception towards it being overrated, it is indeed a magnificent piece of architecture that is filled with history.

Fun fact: The Great Wall of China is one of the few things in the world that you can actually see from space

While there are many entrances to the Great Wall, ours was the relatively easier side: Badaling gate *Hint for future goers*

Great Wall of China

Due to my sister's leg issues, my dad's heart issues, I was the only sole survivor in the challenge to climb as high as possible (5th gate only but still).

Titanic much?

Ski Resort

After the Great Wall, we decided to head to our next destination and to my joy it was the ski resort. You see, for me, a 19 year old guy who had not seen authentic snow in his entire life (SHUT UP UK PEOPLE) was of course eager to see snow in Beijing. But due to global warming and etc, I was forced to accept artificial snow, which was able to stay frozen due to the weather being at 0 to -6 daily.

Plus skiing was cheap too! RM200 per person inclusive of everything from gear to instructor!

Even our driver joined in the fun

Arthur *finally makes an appearance* is helping me with the gear

This is just the beginning, I can only imagine towards the new year

Posers who can't ski

Believe it or not this was my ski instructor who spoke not much English

For those curious, I fell down five times!=p

(The Living Legend is praying that this year he will have a peaceful Christmas)
