For The Love of Passion or Money?

With the recent A-Levels results coming out, I thought I should show what results ended 2009 with and I am proud to say I did fairly well.

Believe me when I say that I do not usually produce such results which brings me to today's topic.

As a high school student, the working world seemed rather far away, however when you become a college student, the real world ain't so far away no more. Decisions need to be made and one move, could change the course of history!

I'm not exaggerating one bit, like for example, if you've always aspired to be a doctor and suddenly one day you change your mind and become a graphic designer, imagine all the lives lost that you could have saved as a doctor or all the money you threw away? Then again being a graphic designer could also be your big breakthrough, you could be the next Leonardo Da Vincci or Picasso? The modern version of course!

A while back, my dad told me if you don't study hard, I will make you study law and I was like law? Why of all things law? I was contemplating on what to study at that time and my mum was adamant I should not do anything related to mass communication cause she had already went through 20 years of my dad struggling his way up the corporate ladder at The Star.

So my question today is should we do something we love or should we do something for money?
I'll be the first to admit that I chose to do something I love in spite knowing that the returns financially would not be a lot which leaves me wondering sometimes if I had chose the right path? Because I see people who chose the same path and complain about how poor they are and when I see some other examples from the other path, I hear them ranting about how they hate their job.

Yes this is very similar to man vs. woman, David vs. Goliath and etc. All I can say is, this is what I think would have happened had I taken law:

(The Living Legend is still how is he gonna be a billionaire by 25 if his doing mass communication)
