"A wise man once said that if everybody was meant to be a doctor, who is going to pick up my rubbish?clean my toilets? and something bla bla i cant remember=p..but that wise man was Jerry Tan and what he was trying to say was that there are more career choices than just being a doctor.
Who is Jerry Tan you ask?well he was one of the speakers at the Edu Fair held last weekend which i have to say isnt half bad.My dad has been a worried father worrying what will my son do in the future?how much will i have to dig from the grave to pay for his education?so he decided we need to go and check out my options and i agreed.
We headed of at 10am for the edu fair and in the car he asked me,so what do you wana do?and to be honest i had no idea,i had a short thought of golfing again but got out of that thought right after, and then it was blank...
so we went for the talk for "what to do after spm" and all i know was please not form 6 although my dad did explain to me the benefits of form 6 i did not wish to be in uniform again and the thought of see-ing the same teachers for the past 6 years just scared me away.We went searching for colleges and courses that i might be interested in and the 1st thing that really caught my eye was CANADA,yes i know it's not Aus but it was cheap, did not require like Picture Perfect results and something affordable.
The next was Asia brickfields college which was a real affordable and secure course, double major programme in law & business and if i was a good son, hopefully a year in UK=)....and finally ahh when we hit hall 3,there was where i realise what my intrest was, mass communication and no its not cause my dad force me but i like the thought of having an intership with a radio station or maybe even under my dad at star.KDU was like the perfect choice for me,a 1+1 programme which will take me to Murdoch Uni at Australia,Perth.Last but not least was Monash University College which i think everybody should know is a internationally recognise Institute but still it was not as eye catching as KDU.
